New soul artist Noah releases “Long Time Comin’” EP
5 July 2006
New soul and blues singer Noah is set to release his EP “Long Time Comin’”. This contains five songs that were produced by multi-Grammy winner Tracey Freeman and the legendary Dr. John’s band, which was also Noah’s mentor for several years. A native of New Orleans, Noah recorded the album at the Piety Street Studios. Already compared to the likes of Billy Joel, Billy Preston, Aretha Franklin, Elton John and music legend Ray Charles, Noah fuses the funky New Orleans sound with classy rhythm and blues, soul and jazz.
Noah’s songwriting and artistry mixes old-school gospel melodies and soulful classics--a reminder that inspiration and positive music can survive generations. Noah was influenced by artists like Van Morisson, Donny Hathaway, The Band and Bill Withers. His live performances is a testament to his originality and talent, as he performs with remarkable piano-playing skills coupled with vocals described as soulful.
His music is one that has not been heard for a long time, and this early, people are expecting that his songs will soon be classics. People who had the chance to see him play agree that he is one of the most talented musicians to have come in the music scene. He has recently performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and will be going on tour this summer.
